6:00 – 8:00    Reception: Annabelle Baker Memorial Art Show “Flight” - Clausen Memorial Museum
                        Show will run from September 9-17. Regular museum hours 10-5, Mon-Sat
                        Special festival hours: 1-5 on Sunday, September 11

8:00 – 5:00   Field Trip: Stikine River Berries and Mushrooms with Corinne Conlon
                       Breakaway Adventures - SOLD OUT - Meet at Banana Point with your rain gear, water and lunch

  
8:00 – 12:00 All-ages event: Sandy Beach bioblitz with Karen Dillman, USFS - help identify all the plants above high tide line
                  Meet at Sandy Beach park Shelter #1, free t-shirts for first 25 participants (sizes limited)


1:30 – 3:00   Workshop: Making Paper with Invasive Plants with Joni Johnson, USFS - Public Library Community Room

                       pre-register at the library, limit 12


2:00 – 4:00  Teen event: Explorations of Color and Natural Dyes with Karen Dillman, USFS - Community Garden: elementary school,
                      ages 13-18 years old


7:00 – 9:00  Coffee, Music and Poetry – with music by Nicole and Alec McMurren  

                       Bring original or favorite poems or short stories to share - Glacier Express Cafe - coffee and desserts for purchase

  


Sunday, September 11


8:00 – 5:00   Field Trip: Plein air on the (Stikine) River with Joe Viechnicki, Breakaway Adventures - SOLD OUT
                       Meet at Banana Point with your own materials, lunch, water, and rain gear


8:30 – 5:00   Field trip: Fall Flora and Fungi of Crystal Mountain with Karen Dillman, USFS    Kids 12 and up welcome.

                       Meet at the intersection of Woodpecker Cove Rd and Mitkof Hwy - Bring water, food, survival gear, proper boots.
                       Call or sign-up at the Visitor’s Center to provide contact information.


8:15 – 12:00 Field Trip: Foraging for Local Edible Foods with Corinne Conlon - Meet at the public library parking lot to car pool


1:00 – 4:00  Adult Workshop: Making Devil’s Club salve with Andrea Weathers - Public Library Community Room

                      pre-register at library, Class limit 20, $10 materials fee

 
2:00 – 4:00  Kids’ Event: Making nature print t-shirts with Eric Castro, USFS - Sandy Beach Park Shelter #1

                      Bring your own t-shirt or other printable cloth


6:30 – 9:00  Taste of the Rainforest wild foods dinner with Corinne Conlon and Amy O’Neill Houch - Upstairs at Sons of Norway*
                       Purchase tickets in advance at the Visitor’s Center, $75, Limit 40 - SOLD OUT
